NATIONAL MEDICAL FELLOWSHIPS SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
NMF has opened the application for the newly established Dr. Theodore Quincy Miller Scholarship.
Established in 2019 to honor the memory of NMF Alumnus Dr. Theodore Quincy Miller, this need-based Scholarship awards $5,000 to one (1) African American male medical student enrolled at an LCME-accredited US, MD-granting medical school, who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership and commitment to service. Top applicants will be selected for a phone interview with Dr. Miller’s family.

Peter L. Page Grant
The Peter Page Grant provides awards to highly-motivated gay male students with financial need. Current undergraduate or graduate students who attend the University of Virginia on a full-time basis can apply for a one-year grant.
Decisions will be based on academic achievements, financial need, essays, extracurricular activities, and awards demonstrating exceptional commitment to bettering LGBT community at UVa and beyond.
Recipients can apply for the grant again the following year.
Application Deadline: April 13, 2020
Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis.
Connecticut Scholarships and Loans
The Connecticut Academy of Family Physicians Endowment Loan Fund offers 2nd, 3rd and 4th year medical students loans that are repaid without interest or not repaid if recipients establish family practices. Deadline: June 1 each year.
The Hartford County Medical Foundation offers scholarships up to $2,000 to medical students from that county. Deadline: June 1 each year.
The Nolan Scholarship is for male medical students from Middlesex County. Established by the late Anna Nolan to help defray medical school expenses for male students from Middlesex County, Connecticut. Deadline: June 1 each year.
