HARTFORD HEALTHCARE LMSA SCHOLARSHIP
In partnership with Hartford HealthCare, this scholarship is the largest scholarship offered in the history of the LMSA. This historic scholarship was established to advance the LMSA-NE mission – recruit Latinos into higher education, educate the public and one another about Latino health issues, advocate for increased Latino representation in health related areas, and promote awareness about social, political and economic issues as they relate to Latino health.
The winner will be presented with a Certificate of Achievement and a scholarship in the amount of $5,000 at the LMSA-NE Regional Conference, which will take place from January 27-29, 2023 in Baltimore, MD at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Eligibility:
- Be an active Northeast LMSA members are currently enrolled in an accredited medical school
- 1 letter of recommendation from faculty, advisor, or research mentor
- Curriculum vitae
- 1000-word personal statement, including career goals
- 250-word essay demonstrating financial need
- Attendance at LMSA-NE Regional Conference (receipt of registration)
- Financial aid award from your medical school

Letters of recommendation may be attached to the application or emailed to the LMSA-NE Fundraising Chair (email below).
