Kent-Holbert Scholarship
Mrs. Jean Holbert Kent established the Kent-Holbert Scholarship Endowment upon her death in 2014. The
$4,000 renewable scholarship honors the memory of Kenneth Nelson Kent, Summerson B. Holbert and
Nannie B. Landes Holbert.
The scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a degree in higher education in a health care field or an
area of study which supports health care. Adult students pursuing a nursing vocation, advancing a career in
nursing or another health care field are also eligible to apply. Applicants must be residents of Augusta
County or Nelson County, including the cities within those counties.
