This AAMC $10,000 award is for outstanding contributions that promote justice in medical education and health equities for people in this country.
Eight sets of application materials must include a letter of nomination which includes testimonials that support the nominees efforts to promote social justice in medical education and health care and a curriculum vitae. The letter of recommendation must be double-spaced with 1″ margins and size 12 Times New Roman font.
The Nickens scholarships recognize outstanding academic achievement of medical students entering the third year in a LCME-accredited U.S. medical school.
